Advocate Health is the third-largest non-profit integrated health system in the United States, formed in December 2022 by the combination of Advocate Aurora Health and Atrium Health. Headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina, it operates roughly 70 hospitals and more than 1,000 sites of care across Alabama, Georgia, Illinois, North Carolina, South Carolina and Wisconsin, employs about 160,000 people and reported over $38.9 billion in total revenue for 2025. It also runs Wake Forest University School of Medicine as its academic core.
